I notice a few issues that may pertain to your problem:. The procedure apparently installs correctly, but when I try to use it, the OS is missing. If it is not correct, the script tries to install to a phantom target. There is apparently no message in the program to indicate when this happens. Instead, it gives a false success message. I think this stems from the fact that the drive designation is not permanent, but changes depending on which drive is attached where, and when. Also, repeat this after you have changed it and replaced the installation media onto the target PC, just to be doubly sure.

Hi GC. I got the same error and followed your instructions. I did notice there was an empty line under the last command. I doubt that will help because I entered the commands manually in the terminal and got the same error.
EFI path. In example, when I first log in, the login screen is stuck on the display. Hitting F5 it shows all open apps, and gets rid of the stuck graphics of the login screen. This happens any time I close an app, having to hit F5 to see the screen.

It will install, reboot, repair itself and still be recognized as my device, which it is. Also, the nice thing about it is that I still have the Chrome splash screen and it still boots in a hurry. Does installing the chrome os wipe the entire disk or the selected partition?
I want to dual boot. I installed chrome os and set it up, shut it down. When I restarted it I had to go through the set up again. How can I fix that? I was able to install this on a USB thumb drive, but it fails to install on an external hard drive. I get an out of space error on partitions 4 and 8 — 12 which makes no sense since the drive is bigger than the thumb drive it install in. Or maybe you can use a compact disk. With the Rammus recovery I get an infinite boot loop and with the Samus recovery I get an error on libext2fs…. Did you manage to get out of this loop? If yes, how?? Does not recognize my fingerprint sensor but that is ok.

The only issue I had was the Chrome OS trying to write back onto the USB stick but after seeing the first post here, looked up found the name of the hard drive. Quick edit in notepad, save and copy back onto the USB stick, all is now working great!

You can wipe the disk while going through windows installation setup. My system runs on Intel G41 Express. I was able to install clean with 83 version.
The partition is 45gb and the usb is 17gb… Any advice please? The simple answer is.. Going more in depth, the sudo apt-get update the first command in install. Then running the commands in install.
